# The Facebook Reels Strategy That Got 10,000 Views in a Week

A year ago, I posted a Facebook Reel for a client's small food business. It
got 47 views. Mostly from the owner's family.

Last month, I posted a Reel for a different client using the exact strategy
I'm about to share with you. It hit 10,000 views in seven days. No paid
promotion. No existing audience. Just the right approach.

Here's what changed — and how you can copy it.

## Why Reels Work in the Philippines

Let's be honest: Filipinos love video. We're among the top Facebook Reels
consumers in the world. The algorithm currently favors Reels heavily,
pushing them to people who don't even follow you yet.

Translation: **Reels are free reach.** A well-made Reel can put your business
in front of thousands of new potential customers without spending a peso.

But most businesses get it wrong. They post boring product shots with text
overlays and wonder why no one watches.

## The Strategy: Hook, Value, CTA

Every viral Reel follows the same three-part structure. Master this and
you're 80% of the way there.

### Part 1: The Hook (First 3 Seconds)

The first 3 seconds decide everything. If you don't grab attention
immediately, people scroll past. Your hook needs to do one of three things:

- **Make a bold claim:** "This 50-peso ingredient makes better adobo than
  the expensive one."
- **Ask a relatable question:** "Ever wonder why your load disappears so
  fast?"
- **Show something surprising:** A before-and-after, a transformation, a
  satisfying process

**Don't** start with "Hi guys, today I want to talk about..." — that's an
instant scroll.

### Part 2: The Value (Middle 10-30 Seconds)

Deliver on your hook fast. No filler. If you promised a tip, give the tip.
If you promised a recipe, show the recipe. People's attention is a loan, not
a gift — repay it quickly.

For business Reels, the best value formats are:

- **Quick tutorials** (3 steps to do X)
- **Myths vs facts** ("You think X is true? Actually...")
- **Behind the scenes** (how we make our product)
- **Comparisons** (cheap vs expensive, beginner vs pro)

### Part 3: The Call to Action (Last 3 Seconds)

Tell people exactly what to do next. Don't assume they'll figure it out.

- "Follow for more tips like this"
- "Comment 'GUIDE' and I'll send you the full checklist"
- "Tap the link in bio to order"

Pick one. Be direct. Don't say "feel free to" or "you might want to" —
that's weak and people ignore it.

## The Posting Rules

The strategy above is about content. These rules are about timing and
consistency — they matter just as much.

### Post 5 Reels Per Week

The algorithm rewards consistency. Posting once a week won't get you
anywhere. Posting 5 times a week tells Facebook "this creator is active,
push their content."

### Post Between 6-9 PM Philippine Time

That's when Filipino Facebook usage peaks — after work, during dinner, before
bed. Your Reel gets its first wave of engagement when most people are online,
which signals the algorithm to push it further.

### Use Trending Audio (But Don't Depend on It)

Tap the audio name on any Reel you see in your feed. If it has an upward
arrow next to it, it's trending — use it. But your content should work
without the audio. Trending audio is a boost, not a crutch.

### Add Captions

Most Filipinos watch Reels with sound off (especially at work or in public).
If your video depends on audio to make sense, you've lost them. Add text
overlays or auto-captions. Facebook's auto-caption feature is decent and
free.

## What to Make Reels About (For Your Business)

Stuck on content ideas? Use these formulas:

- **Answer the top 5 questions your customers ask** (one Reel per question)
- **Show a common mistake** your customers make and how to fix it
- **Behind the scenes**: how you make your product, pack an order, or prep
  for a service
- **Customer transformation**: before/after, testimonials with context
- **Local angle**: "Things only people in [your city] will understand" tied
  to your niche

You can batch-film 10 Reels in one afternoon. Then schedule them across two
weeks. Consistency without daily effort.

## The 47-View Reel vs The 10,000-View Reel

The 47-view Reel was a 60-second talking-head video starting with "So today
I want to share..."

The 10,000-view Reel was 18 seconds. It opened with a bold visual hook in the
first second, delivered one clear tip in the middle, and ended with "Follow
for more."

Same business. Same product. Different strategy. Different result.

## Bottom Line

Facebook Reels are the cheapest way to reach new customers in the Philippines
right now. But you have to respect the format: hook fast, deliver value,
tell them what to do next, and post consistently.

Start this week. Film 5 simple Reels using the structure above. Post one per
day at 7 PM. Come back in a week and tell me what happened.
